Rama – The Adarsha Purusha – The Ideal Human

Ragaswara invites you to a rare and enriching cultural experience in Manchester, an afternoon of music, storytelling, philosophy, and devotion through the timeless art of Harikatha, presented by the internationally acclaimed exponent Vishakha Hari. Harikatha is one of India’s most profound classical traditions, where narrative, Carnatic music, Sanskrit literature, and spiritual insight come together to create an experience that is at once intellectual, emotional, and deeply reflective.
In this special presentation, Vishakha Hari explores the theme:
“Rama – The Adarsha Purusha (The Ideal Human)”
Sri Rama has, for centuries, stood as the embodiment of dharma, integrity, compassion, and ideal conduct. But what truly makes him the “Ideal Human”? And how do these timeless principles resonate in today’s world?
Through a carefully woven narrative, this Harikatha will:
- Illuminate key moments from the Ramayana
- Explore the human and philosophical dimensions of Rama’s life
- Translate ancient wisdom into relevant, contemporary insight
- Invite the audience into moments of reflection, emotion, and connection
This is not merely a performance – it is a journey through story, sound, and spirit, where music enhances meaning and storytelling becomes a medium for deeper understanding.
